Two Day Detail Painting Workshop
You are invited to attend a TWO DAY detailed watercolor workshop with Master Artist, Robert Garden. You will be able to explore the beautiful medium of watercolor and create a finished, detailed and frame-worthy painting, size 15 X 22, entitled “Winter Wonderland in the Tetons”!
What You’ll Learn:
- Watch Robert conduct a delightful 30 minute watercolor painting demonstration while taking notes and pictures with Q & A session following.
- Discover color character, value, hue, brush loading and more.
- Explore color mixing to achieve any color you can imagine.
- Understand the 5 basic values of color in an object with multiple examples of each and the use of the 3 dimensional color wheel.
- Learn to choose the right colors for ultimate prismatic and analogous properties.
- Achieve perspective with color.
Workshop Details:
Date: Friday, November 22nd and Saturday November 23rd, 2019
Time: 10 AM to 4 PM on Friday and 10 AM to 3PM on Saturday

Location: Art in the Vine, 1701 Airport Fwy, on west bound access road of Hwy 183 between Central Dr. and Forrest Ridge, near door to Toadies Bar & Grill.
Fees: $175.00
Includes: 2 days of art instruction, 15 X 22 De Arches watercolor paper, AND all your watercolor painting supplies. Bring a roll of paper towels and wear old clothes.

What You’ll Paint:
- Using the finest 300 pound French made De Arches watercolor paper, begin by learning the basics of sketching with a pencil, developing your composition to invite the eye of the viewer into and around your painting.
- Several trade secrets and rules of arrangement will be shared to help you to develop an interesting study with lots of contrasts of color and perspective.
- This painting features a high altitude sky with cirrus clouds, majestic snow covered peaks, distant autumn aspens, snow laden pines and icy rushing water.
- Robert will assist you in creating a distant background, developing the closer mid-ground and finally detailing the interesting foreground.
- You will experience lots of time for discussion, critiques and answers to your questions as Robert provides the detailed coaching necessary to improve and enhance your painting step by step.
